WebstaurantStore® store struggled with limited capacity to store and ship frozen foods and had difficulty maintaining food-safe temperatures throughout the shipping process. Inventory management was also difficult, as limited space meant ordering based on projected usage, often leading to excess or insufficient stock.
The Solution
Veritiv® addressed these challenges by leveraging our network of 121 distribution centers and a warehouse close to WebstaurantStore. This allowed the customer to shift from ordering 6-8 weeks in advance to a just-in-time shipment model, which reduced the need to keep 50-60 pallets on hand down to a more manageable 10-15 pallets.
